UI/UX Designer

01 — About the role

As a UI/UX Designer at Zimako, you'll help shape the user experience of our digital products, creating intuitive, beautiful interfaces that delight our clients and their customers. This part-time role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a significant impact on our design direction.

You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to transform complex requirements into elegant, user-friendly designs. Your work will directly influence how users interact with our solutions across platforms and devices.

02 — Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
  • Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across products
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
  • Create visual assets and graphics for marketing materials when needed
  • Stay current with design trends, tools and best practices

03 — Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a user-centred design process
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design principles
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions
  • Experience working in collaborative environments with developers

04 — Nice to have

  • Experience with motion design and interactive prototyping
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and front-end development principles
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries
  • Understanding of data-visualisation techniques
  • Experience in the technology or enterprise software industry
