Intermediate TypeScript Developer

As an Intermediate TypeScript Developer at Zimako, you'll be part of our dynamic engineering team, building innovative solutions that power African businesses. You'll work on challenging projects that leverage modern web technologies to create robust, scalable applications.

02 — Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, testable and maintainable code using TypeScript and modern frameworks like React, Next.js and Node.js
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web development

03 — Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in web development
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Experience with React and Next.js
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library

04 — Nice to have

  • Experience with state-management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
